Why Choose Julian Dentistry for Clear Aligners?
- Virtual Smile Design to See Results Beforehand
- Convenient Appointment Times
- Multiple Financial Solutions Available
How Clear Aligners Work
To move your teeth from where they are now to where they should be, Dr. Julian will create a custom treatment plan as well as a custom series of clear aligners. Each one should be worn for 20-22 hours a day and for 1-2 weeks at a time. This gives your teeth plenty of time to move incrementally closer to their ideal positions, and the next set will pick up where the previous one left off. Oftentimes, the entire process takes just 12-18 months, which is considerably shorter than traditional braces (which often take two years or more).
Who Can Clear Aligners Help?
At your initial consultation, Dr. Julian will learn all about your dental history, assess the severity of your case, and learn about your smile goals. That way, he can confidently determine if clear aligner treatment is right for you. Typically, it’s a good option for patients who are struggling with mild to moderate cases of the following:
Crowded Teeth
If there isn’t enough room in your mouth for your teeth to sit in their properly aligned positions, then your teeth will crowd together. Not only does this negatively impact the look of your smile, but it also increases your risk of oral health problems because it’s harder for your toothbrush and floss to remove plaque, tartar, and the like. That’s why we encourage patients to schedule a consultation; we want you to have a smile that’s healthy, functional, and beautiful.
Gaps Between Teeth
Some patients have several spaces throughout their mouth. Others have one prominent gap between their two front teeth. In both cases, we are concerned about your risk of tooth decay, gum disease, and other serious oral health problems. Fortunately, moving your teeth into proper alignment doesn’t always warrant metal brackets and wires. Sometimes, we can give you your best smile with custom-made aligners that are clear and comfortable!
Overbite
Bite problems – no matter how minor – can have a devastating effect on the condition of your teeth. Not only that, but they can lead to trouble chewing and chronic jaw pain, negatively impacting your overall quality of life in the process. For that reason, we encourage patients with overbites to schedule a consultation with Dr. Julian sooner rather than later. That way, he can determine if clear aligners are right for you and, if they are, create a custom treatment plan to bring your bite into proper alignment.
Underbite
In a healthy bite, the upper teeth sit in front of the lower ones. If the opposite is true for you (your lower teeth sit in front of your upper teeth), then don’t wait – schedule a consultation at our Mesa dental office today! With clear, custom-made aligners, we can improve the alignment of your bite. That way, you’re much less likely to experience chronic jaw pain, premature wear and tear, and other problems associated with underbites.
Crossbite
Like the other bite problems on this list, crossbites can lead to serious consequences, like premature wear and tear on your teeth, chronic jaw pain, and even trouble enunciating clearly. Fortunately, clear aligner treatment is an option for more mild cases. Sometimes, rubber bands and other orthodontic accessories are needed in addition to the clear aligners, but don’t worry – they aren’t as noticeable as traditional metal braces.
Open Bite
Open bites are when there is space between the upper and lower teeth, preventing the patient from biting down all the way. Since this orthodontic problem results in an increased risk of dental damage, we recommend having it fixed right away. The first step? Scheduling a consultation with us! That way, we can see if clear aligners are right for you.
The Benefits of Clear Aligners
Each year, countless patients choose to straighten their teeth with clear aligners because:
- The average treatment timeline is shorter
- There are fewer check-in visits
- There aren’t any dietary restrictions
- The aligners are completely metal-free
- The aligners are removable
How Much Do Clear Aligners Cost?
The cost of clear aligner treatment isn’t the same for everyone. The reason why is that no two smiles are exactly the same! In order to provide you with an estimate of the price, we need to know if single-arch treatment is possible, if orthodontic accessories like rubber bands are needed, the type of retainer you need, and more. Don’t worry – we will provide you with a number at your appointment, and we will also go over the financial solutions we offer at that time.
